Matthew Cano (aka Cano) is a Jiu Jitsu black belt and the founder of Nomad Jiu Jitsu. He brings years of experience, passion, and technical excellence to the mat. Professor Cano was promoted to first-degree black belt under the legendary Kurt Osiander. In 2024, Professor Cano officially became part of the Kenny Kim affiliation.

In addition to his vast Jiu Jitsu experience, Professor Cano also has years of experience in boxing & MMA.

Known for his clear instruction, tough but supportive coaching style, and deep commitment to his students' growth, Professor Cano is building a community where everyone—from complete beginners to seasoned competitors—can thrive. Whether you're training for self-defense, fitness, or the podium, you'll find a home on the mats under his leadership.

Brendan is a Purple Belt in Jiu Jitsu with years of experience competing and teaching youth bjj programs. Brendan brings patience, discipline and structure to youth programs catered to day 1 beginners all the way to seasoned competitors. With a background in Physical Education Brendan understands how to build little champions physically as well as mentally.

Discipline, dedication, and faith are the cornerstones of Janell Mellish's journey. Forged during her time serving in the U.S. Air Force, these values have guided her path in martial arts and as owner of Arena Training Institute. 

Janell began training in boxing in 2014, and in 2017, she discovered a passion for Jiu-Jitsu, adding a ground game to her skill set. 

When she isn't on the mats, Janell is a Christian writer and a proud member of the Cheyenne community, where she is passionate about helping others grow stronger in mind, body, and spirit.

Professor Kenny Kim is a respected fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt with over two decades of experience on the mats. A lifelong martial artist and dedicated instructor, Professor Kenny has built a reputation for his technical expertise, positive coaching style, and commitment to building a strong, inclusive community through Jiu Jitsu.

Based in Marietta, Georgia since 2006, Kenny Kim Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy has become to powerhouse when it comes to martial arts training, offering world-class instruction for adults and kids alike.
